Beauty// Recent Eyeshadows and Lipsticks Haul

Recently, I’ve been wanting to try cream eye shadows and been wanting them in gold or rose gold. So on my recent trip to Mecca I did just that, find myself an awesome metallic cream eyeshadows. And then, I went to Priceline to find more affordable alternatives for beauty lover on a budget…

From Mecca…

By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Beyond Gold, I love this! It is super easy to apply and have such great colour. The gold Is not too crazy metallic, it is a subtle gold shimmer for your eyes. The pencil form is a complete strike of genius on their part.

Bobbi Brown Long-wear Cream Shadow in Beach Bronze, good copper eye shadow, without being glittery. Obviously a good quality cream eye shadow, however the super tiny opening makes it hard to get the product out, so I just used my fingers.

From Priceline…

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR in Bold Gold, slightly lighter shade of gold compare to the By Terry product. It is still a great pigmentation, the larger openings make it so easy to take the product onto a brush or fingers during application. It feels powdery but they applied easily.

Bourjois Color Edition 24H in Prune Nocturne, similar copper colour leaning a little towards the plum colour family, but I love the cream to powder consistency of this product. Super easy to apply and they do last all day.

While on the hunt for bargain, I did purchase these amazing lipsticks from Topshop…

The shades I purchased was, Ohh La La which is a peachy pink and comes in rose gold packaging , love! Lovestruck a deeper brown/red colour, find this to be closest match to my actual lip colour and Rio Rio which is slightly more orange red. These Topshop lippies have a distinct vanilla fragrant to them which I associated with MAC‘s lipsticks.

I also wanted to try the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm, just curious to know the difference with my NARS lip pencil. I bought the shade 245 Audacious, slightly towards the peach/orange family of colour. I am pleasantly surprise that they have a minty fragrant and it feels cooling on your lips, love.

So if you’re curious about creamy eye-shadows, I do have to admit, I’m loving the Priceline alternatives as they are more affordable and gives similar finish. Having said that, I do adore By Terry Ombre Blackstar though, it is amazing!

What’s your favourite makeup finds lately? Let me know, leave comments below if there are fun makeup item I should try…

by Terry is going to send me broke. Everything she makes is just divine. I have a few of her lipsticks and just try not to lose them on a night out / think about how much they cost all together!
